Frequently Asked Questions

If this will be our first trip to Hawaii, which island would you recommend?

We’d recommend the island of Oahu.  The main airport is located in Honolulu on the island of Oahu.  Honolulu is the State capital of Hawaii.  It offers many beach front hotels (located in Waikiki, which is part of Honolulu) and also vacation homes in more secluded locations such as Kailua, Lanikai and North Shore of Oahu.  If you’d prefer to skip renting a car, Oahu also offers many shopping opportunities, restaurants and world famous beaches within a short walking distance.

We’d recommend the following hotels if you are interested in staying at a beach front hotel in Waikiki:

  1. Hilton Hawaiian Village

  2. Waikiki Marriott on the Beach

  3. Aston Waikiki on the Beach

  4. Outrigger Reef on the Beach

  5. Sheraton Waikiki

  6. Halekulani Hotel

What is your most recommended beach location in Honolulu?

Our favorite beach location in Honololu is Waialae Beach (next to Kahala Hotel).

It is secluded and offers many beautiful backdrops for your wedding photos. A beachfront restaurant (Plumeria Beach House in Kahala) is also nearby if you would prefer to have your reception right after your wedding ceremony and photo session on the beach.

Do you have a package that offers a wedding cake for me and my fiancé and six guests?

Yes, of course.  May we recommend the Hawaiian Ginger Package Plus?  We’d recommend to hire an on-site coordinator to assist us during the cake delivery to the beach site and, also, during the cake cutting ceremony.  However, if you’d prefer to assign one of your guests to assist us, an on-site coordinator is optional.

Can we choose our marriage performer/wedding minister?

If you’d like to request a specific wedding minister, simply write in their name when sending us an inquiry. We will then do our best to assign your selected minister for you and your fiance. There's a small chance your selected minister will not be available immediately.  In that case, we will match you with another licensed minister to help make your wedding dream comes true!

Please visit our ministers page for more information regarding our licensed ministers:

My fiancé and I are not very religious.  Do you offer a non-religious, non-denominational wedding ceremony?  Are we allowed to bring our own wedding vows?

Yes, of course.  All of our wedding ministers are licensed to perform both religious and non-religious wedding ceremonies.  Most of them also offer traditional Hawaiian wedding ceremonies that include lei exchange ceremony, sand ceremony and Hawaiian blessings with a conch shell blowing.

Yes, you and your fiancé may write your own vows, bring them to the wedding site and read them during your ceremony.

Please visit our ministers page for more information regarding our licensed ministers:

Our Licensed Marriage Performers

Are we allowed to have our own minister perform the wedding ceremony?

Yes, of course.  If your minister is not licensed to perform a wedding in the State of Hawaii, during and after the ceremony, our licensed minister must be present to collaborate with your minister.  The signing of your legal document must be performed by a licensed minister in order to legalize your wedding ceremony.
